La Montaña Rusa #39.2019. English Version. Ginger Baker Quartet. Carlos López. Dominic Miller. Aaron Parks. Kendrick Scott Oracle.

Other delivery from La Montaña Rusa, with the finest Classic and Contemporary Jazz, in La Montaña Rusa Radio Jazz onLine project. We start with the memory of the drummer Ginger Baker who recently passed away. Baker wasn’t just a Jazz drummer but his mood and philosophy were always pretty similar to a Jazz musician. To remember him we listen to Going Back Home, together with Bill Frisell and Charlie Haden, published in 1994.

Next in our permanent section, Jazz in Spanish, we introduce the musical universe of the guitarist Carlos López, through his debut recording, Nada Será Como Antes, released this 2019.

In the Jazz International new releases, we listen to Silent Night by the argentinian guitarist Dominic Miller; one of the last recordings of the pianist Aaron Parks, the amazing Little Big and we close with the new release of the drummer Kendrick Scott Oracle, A Wall Becomes a Bridge, published this 2019.

La Montaña Rusa #39.2019. Ginger Baker Quartet. Carlos López. Dominic Miller. Aaron Parks. Kendrick Scott Oracle.
