Otra estupenda semana de jazz desde La Montaña Rusa Radio Jazz. Abrimos con nuestro clásico de la semana en el que nos acercamos esta vez a la figura del gran Max Roach, uno de los grandes revolucionarios de la batería jazz. En 1956, después de la trágica muerte de los talentosísimos Clifford Brown y Richie Powell en accidente de tráfico, el batería tiene que arreglárselas para reconstruir sus Plus Four y este maravillosa caja de Mosaic recoge las grabaciones para Mercury del combo en ese período de transición hasta los 60. Excelente material con grandes nombres detrás, estas The Complete Max Roach Plus Four Mercury Sessions. Larga vida a Mosaic!!

En las Novedades Jazz, nos acercamos al nuevo proyecto de este enorme guitarrista que es Matt Hollenberg. Se llaman Shardik y acaban de publicar su primer trabajo bajo el sello de John Zorn, Tzadik. Tremendo power trío!

Y cerramos con el nuevo trabajo del saxofonista Jim Snidero, MD66, publicado en el 2017 y que recoge un estupendo homenaje al segundo quinteto del gran Miles Davis.
